A proponent of lifelong learning, Mary Block is a current student at University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music, pursuing her Master of Music in Piano Performance along with a Graduate Certificate in Piano Pedagogy. She is a student of Dr. Stephanie Cheng. Mary previously earned her Bachelor of Music from Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she studied with Dr. Nanette Shannon and Dr. Jooeun Pak. 

Mary is a dedicated piano instructor to students of all ages. With 3+ years of teaching experience, she is always learning and improving her teaching methods. She is currently an esteemed instructor at the Lamont Piano Preparatory Program, where she teaches in both group and individual settings. As a member of the Music Teachers National Association and the Denver Area Collegiate Chapter of MTNA, she is committed to investing in her professional growth and community.

Beyond her academic and musical pursuits, Mary is an enthusiastic reader, hoping to one day curate a library of 1,000 books. She enjoys nurturing her house plant collection, savoring tea, and cherishing moments with her two beloved cats.
